In today’s fast-evolving, information-driven world, wireless communication has become the backbone of technological progress. Our project, “Intelligent Highway Surveillance System,” focuses on leveraging RF-based wireless communication to enable smart, real-time highway monitoring, traffic tracking, and data collection.
This system is designed to address the limitations of existing highway surveillance solutions, many of which struggle with high costs, limited accessibility, and inefficiency for the everyday user. By combining infrared sensors to detect vehicle motion and heat signatures, RFID technology to uniquely identify and track vehicles, and GSM wireless networks to transmit data to a central server, this project delivers a cost-effective, scalable, and reliable solution for intelligent transportation systems.
The system can operate efficiently even in dense, high-traffic conditions, recording vehicle identity and generating real-time traffic information for future reference. Key parameters such as data accuracy, reliability, consistency, and response time are carefully considered to ensure that the system meets modern highway surveillance and intelligent transportation requirements.
Ultimately, the Intelligent Highway Surveillance System aims to enhance traffic management, road safety, and law enforcement capabilities while offering a practical and affordable solution for smart cities and transportation authorities.
